SPECIAL AMERICA’S CUP PRESENTATION ON UPCOMING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES AND HOW TO ACCESS THEM

4:30-5:15 PM

Free event just before the dinner event at the Galleria Hotel

Please register

In late 2010, the City of San Francisco was chosen as host for the 34th America’s Cup, the oldest trophy in international sport. After a year of planning and environmental review, the project’s details are being finalized and the opportunities for local and small businesses becoming clear. Studies have put the region’s economic benefit from the 2012 and 2103 races at more than $1 billion, including 8,000 jobs across the construction, tourism, hospitality and transportation industries.

This presentation, by representatives from the Mayor’s Office and the America’s Cup Event Authority, will give an overview of the events and outline business opportunities and how to access them. This is the first time in the 160-year history of the America’s Cup that that races will be able to be viewed from shore, and as the only major international sporting event to happen in the US for the next decade, both the City and the event organizers believe it will generate an enormous amount of local, national and international attention as well as spectators.

NAWBO SFBA is delighted to sponsor this special presentation and to have the opportunity to invite women business owners to attend and learn about possible ways to build their businesses in light of this unique event.
